West Michigan is getting the big city treatment this fall. Instead of traveling to New York or Chicago to see Broadway hits and intriguing exhibitions, you can travel 50 miles or less to see art’s crème de la crème. Some examples are Harvard’s favorite pink-wearing blonde, Elle Woods, who can be found onstage not only at Kalamazoo’s Miller Auditorium, but also at DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids. More artsy fartsy? Not only can you experience art around every corner in Grand Rapids during ArtPrize, but Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park has extended its Chihuly glass exhibition through the end of October. From big time productions and touring exhibitions to community theatre, we’ve found enough going on to keep you busy through the winter.
