Acting as an influence for some of the greatest guitar players of all time (Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughn), legendary guitarist Buddy Guy has graced the world with his dominating musical presence for nearly 50 years. He continues to impress music lovers with his fierce, electrifying sound. Considered one of the masters of the revered Chicago Blues, Buddy Guy's music ranges from traditional old-fashioned blues, to creative, unique blends of soul, jazz, blues and straight up rock ‘n' roll. Guy pours out good vibes with high energy while onstage (yes, even in his old age), and is known to break out into lively, mercurial guitar solos that will make you believe it's the year 1969. Releasing his first album in 1965 and his latest in 2008 (not to mention The Definitive Buddy Guy in 2009), Buddy Guy has established a lengthy and successful career as one of the greatest blues guitarists and musicians to ever rock the stage. Come out for an opportunity to see one of the most respected, living guitarists belt out the blues at Fredrik Meijer Gardens on June 17.
