$60 may seem like a lot of money. But when you’re a music fan and you’re able to see more than 60 local, regional and national bands for that much (that’s like a dollar per band!), it doesn’t seem that ridiculous. Though the national and regional musicians — such as GZA and Presidents of the United States of America — prove to have crowd draw, it's the local aspect that is the focus of Prospecto. It's the organizers' goal to prove how much talent and creativity our little mitten has, and they're doing it in the form of hiring dozens of local bands, and featuring them at some of Grand Rapids' best watering holes. Some of that local talent includes Mustard Plug, Lazy Genius, AB! & Coconut Brown, Seth, Paucity, Fainting Generals and Nathan Kalish and the Wildfire to name a few.
