| This celtic-based, globally infused, world-beat music group plays an acoustic set that defies easy categorization. You'll hear traditional Irish melodies, medieval French songs, Breton dance tunes, Scandinavian refrains, Appalachian influences, Latin rhythms, and African grooves, all with an improvisational flair that at times resembles a jam-band. Fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, hurdy-gurdy, harp, doumbek, and talking drum are just part of the arsenal used to create the band's unique sound palette. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door. |
