| The Tempest follows the story of Prospero, the deposed Duke of Milan, who was stranded at sea with his baby daughter some 15 years before the play begins. Prospero has lived on a mysterious island since his brother overthrew him, and has spent his time becoming a powerful magician. He causes a violent storm which shipwrecks his villainous brother and his companions on the island. The Tempest’s magic, humor, and themes of reconciliation make it an audience favorite among Shakespeare’s plays. Actor Bill Iddings heads the cast in the role of Prospero. |
