2. RAZZLE DAZZLE: Sometimes New York is just too far away. Get your fill of the bright lights at Broadway Our Way, opening this weekend on Friday, Mar. 5 and Saturday, Mar. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the B.O.B. Featuring hits from Broadway classics like Wicked, a six-piece orchestra and a cocktail bar, this is the first in a series of weekend performances; $35.
3. GET INSPIRED: Let the warm weather inspire your green thumb this weekend at the 31st West Michigan Home and Garden Show at DeVos Place on Friday, Mar. 5 to Sunday, Mar. 7 (times vary). This year's show has five free seminars, ten feature gardens and over 350 exhibitors; $4-$9.
4. AND THE OSCAR GOES TO...: Support the Waterfront Film Festival by attending the Oscar Night Gala at the UICA on Sunday, Mar. 7. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. on the red carpet, complete with paparazzi. Enjoy the open bar and food stations as the 82nd Academy Awards are broadcast live on big screens; $150 or $1,200 for table of eight.
5. ICE COLD ROCK: The hard rock group Halestorm, featuring the brother and sister combo of Arejay and Lzzy Hale, comes to the Intersection on Sunday, Mar. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Its latest single, "I Get Off," reached 6th on the U.S. Mainstream Rock charts. Adelita's Way will open the show; $9.79-$12.
6. ARRIBA!: The Grand Rapids Symphony will celebrate the cultures and landscapes of Latin America at the Latin Rhythms concerts on Friday, Mar. 5. at the St. Cecilia Music Center and on Saturday, Mar. 6 at the Greenville Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature selections from Golijov, Ginastera, Cardona-Hine and de Falla; $26-$34.
7. ARTY PARTY: Deer Run Golf Club is hosting Art Attack: A Party for the Arts on Saturday, Mar. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The evening will include games like "the Money Machine" and auctions to raise money for the programs of the Lowell Area Arts Council. Roger MacNaughton and Cindy Kropf will provide music; $40-$50.
8. GET UP STAND UP: Celebrate Bob Marley's birthday with reggae band Zion Lion. A perennial local favorite, Zion Lion will be playing at Billy's Lounge on Saturday, Mar. 6 from 7 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; $5.

Good Bets: Head to the Applebee's on Grand Ridge Dr. on Saturday, Mar. 6 for a $5 all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast that raises funds for the Grand Rapids Cystic Fibrosis Foundation...though the battle is over, you can still enjoy the Heavyweight Hangover at the Intersection on Friday, Mar. 5 starting at 8 p.m.
