Eastown bids farewell to summer with its popular annual festival. Local music all day on two stages (including La Famiglia, Garganta, Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys, and Wonder Caverns), arts and crafts booths, food booths, and children's activities. Music stages at Billy's and corner of Lake Drive and Wealthy.

The Muskegon Museum of Art is opening a new exhibiting on Sept. 16 that will feature the work of 90 untrained artists who found beauty along the back roads of America. Find the beauty yourself at DEVOUR ART: Outsider, Folk Art, and Visionary Environments Coast to Coast.
Plug It Up 2 Thursday
The Greatest Show on Earth! Opens Thursday
Support local music and a great cause at Plug It Up 2! A Kzoo River Wildlife Rescue Benefit. Nine local bands (Moss (Pond), The Fainting Generals, Apostles, Bangups, Ozenza, Chance Jones, AB, DJ SuperDre) perform and all proceeds go to Circle D Wildlife Refuge. Music starts at 6 p.m.; Billy's in Eastown; $7, $5 with donation of supplies.
The circus is in town! The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey’s new show, Zing Zang Zoom will be running at Van Andel Arena (Grand Rapids) from Sept. 16-19. This thrill-filled show provides fun for the whole family, starting with Ringling Bros. Clown College at the All Access Pre-Show; $15-68.
Dolls and Dummies Friday
The winner of “America’s Got Talent” in 2007, Terry Fator’s ventriloquism act is not just for dummies. His show, Ventriloquism in Concert, will be stopping at Allegan County Fairgrounds at 8 p.m. on Sept. 17; $35-50.
Inside ArtPrize Friday
Friday nights at GRAM will be hosting its latest ArtPrize discussion, How to Navigate ArtPrize, on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. Special guest Bill Holsinger-Robinson will be giving tips on how to plan your visit to Grand Rapids’ popular attraction. Galleries will be open late and museum admission is only $1 for this event.
Culinary Concert Friday
Grab your fork and knife and head down to Soaring Eagle Casino (Mt. Pleasant) at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 to see Food Network’s Chef Tyler Florence whip up a culinary masterpiece that will send your taste buds tingling; $22+.
Salmon and Wine Friday–Sunday
The appeal of great food and wine will bring many to Grand Haven Municipal Marina from Sept. 17-19 for the Grand Haven Salmon Festival. Featuring salmon cook-offs and live jazz music, this festival will also present the best of Michigan’s wineries in the wine-tasting opportunity of a lifetime.
Luck o’ the Irish Friday–Sunday
Head down to Heritage Landing (Muskegon) from Sept. 17-19 for the Michigan Irish Music Festival, which will feature live entertainment from Gaelic Storm, Leahy, Slide, The Elders, and more. You may not find a pot of gold, but you will get to hear some great music; $25 for three-day passes.
Best of Bluegrass Friday–Sunday
Bluegrass twang is coming to West Michigan from Sept. 17-19 in the form of Fall Fest 2010, hosted by the West Michigan Bluegrass Association. Featuring musicians such as Rick Prater & the Midnight Travelers, The Williams Family, Cedar Ridge, Jonas Ridge, and more, this Lowell festival will also include a potluck, workshops. Camping, jamming, Band Scramble, and a bake sale; $25 weekend passes; $5-15 day passes.
King Crabapple Saturday
Blue Note Nightclub (Muskegon) will be hosting a CD release party for King Crabapple’s new album, Temple House, on Sept. 18 at 9 p.m.; $5 cover.
