The ailment: tax season's crumpled your psyche. The corrective: Art of the Table's "Down Under" wine tasting, where you can sample a variety of whites and reds from the Land Down Under. These Australian selections will be so right, you might swear they're medicinal. Event takes place on the 14th at Olive's Restaurant. On the 28th, also at Olive's, meet winemaker David Tate of Barnett Vineyards, Spring Mountain, California, just north of Napa Valley. Tate will share his experiences in viticultural as well as the fruits of his labor. Cost is $30. Reservation required.

Given the continuation of seasonal depression, chapped skin, and outrageous heating bills, April sometimes seems like the unbearable caboose at the end of winter's train. Help change all that with a foretaste of summer by visiting Clay Avenue Cellars, part of Clay Avenue Station in Muskegon. Winemakers Bob and Garrett have over 40 years of experience transforming Michigan's fruits into alcoholic nectars. On April 10, they will debut their newest creation, a blueberry-peach vintage. Other wine selections include apple, blueberry, cherry, grape, peach, raspberry, and strawberry, to name a few. Best of all, wine tasting on this Saturday is free.

If you think your palate is pretty much set when it comes to wine preferences, think again with Corez Wine Bar's in-house sommelier Mike Dombrowski. On April 6, Dombrowski will introduce you to six Pinot Noirs at a tasting entitled, "Oi...I'm Getting Moist (Redefining Hottie)." Two weeks later, Dombrowski will do a little time travel, introducing you to "Old World Traditions" and South American Suarez. Breads, cheeses, and other "nibblies" will accompany the wine, as will a bestowal of Mike's expertise and the banter of your cohorts. Cost is $25. Reserve in advance. No walk-ins accepted.
