You know how the old gym routine can get to be pretty, well, routine? So does our own Nadira Kharmai, who decided to mix it this month up with a little outdoor workout, courtesy of Eco Trek Fitness, a Grand Haven-based company that offers outdoor fitness sessions along the lakefront and in Greater Grand Rapids.
On her Sunday morning eco-trek, Nadira hiked up the sand dunes, stretched with the trees and ran with the deer (okay, really she just saw the deer) with owner Cari Draft and a group of Eco Trekkers. No, not the cops...the Grand Rapids Pizza Delivery company, which has its own version of CSI. GRPD's Mike Raymond gives her the inside scoop on his plan to eliminate bad pizza in the GR market, including his free pie offer for people who've been sold a pizza that tastes, well, criminal. While it would be hard to confuse Nadira in her purple REVUE shirt with Joe Friday in his starched shirt and tie, she does share "just the facts" about a great pizza spot in this episode of Inside 'VUE. Stephanie Strowbridge and her MOXIE salon are no strangers to REVUE readers. The stylist and entrepreneur graced the cover of our April 2010 issue, looking every bit the rock star. She's also helped plenty of other people around West Michigan look like stars -- Stephanie and her stylists have built a rep for doing hair and makeup that ranges from retro to rockabilly to rock and roll (they do modern styles too). So when our Inside 'VUE reporter Nadira Kharmai was feeling a little drab, we sent her out to meet Stephanie and get moxied.
