Grand Rapids
Hot New Year's Eve Party - The downtown party is back for another year after Plain White T's successfully rang in 2009. This year brings in punk poppers Boys Like Girls, Michigan man Uncle Kracker, and rising pop star Priscilla Renea. Entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m. with the ball drop countdown beginning at 11:55 p.m. There will be warming tents and a limited number of vendors selling hot non-alcoholic drinks with the DeVos Performance Hall Lobby serving as a warming station from 10 p.m. until midnight. Admission is free and the event is family friendly.
25 Kitchen + Bar - Recently opened in November, the restaurant and bar across from Van Andel Arena will have two dinner seatings on New Year's: one at 6 p.m. and one at 9 p.m. Each will include dinner and cocktails, champagne toast, live entertainment from Dennie Middleton. Downstairs, Below 25 will have a live DJ, dancing, small plates and a midnight jagermeister toast. Tickets: $5 pre-sale, $10 at the door.
The 1913 Room - Awarded the AAA Five Diamond rating in 2002 (the only one in Michigan), the restaurant will have a five-course dinner from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. for $250 per couple. The price includes complimentary valet parking.
Amway Grand - If you're planning on staying the night at the Amway Grand, head over the The Top-40 Party in the Ambassador Ballroom at 8 p.m. Free with overnight stay, this party will feature a live DJ, party favors and midnight champagne toast. For those not staying overnight can purchase wristbands to Amway Grand family parties (Amway, JW & Courtyard). They are $30 per person or $50 per couple.
Apartment Lounge - Count down to the New Year at one of Michigan's oldest GLBT establishments.
Bar Divani - For New Year's, Bar D will feature three seating times -- 5:30, 7:30, and 9:30. The two early times will feature a $39 three-course dinner with your choice of an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. The 9:30 seating is $44 and includes a bubbles toast at midnight. Also availible is The Red Hand Company's performance of an interactive secret-agent themed mystery dinner. Inspired by classic James Bond films, the plot involves stopping an assassination plot and nuclear arms deal. Audience members are invited to arrive in 1950s dress and become undercover agents for the night. Tickets will be $69 each for parties of four or more, $79 individually. The night will include a dinner buffet, open bar, gratuity and complimentary valet parking, as well as the show.
Bar Louie - Reserved tables are available for $50 (two-person high-top), $100 (4-person regular table) and $150 (4-person booth) and include a bottle of champagne, party favors and four appetizers (two for the high-tops). An additional all-you-can-drink beer and wine package is $30 and is good from 9 p.m. until midnight. There will also be shot and drink specials and $150 bottle service.
Billy's Lounge - Sweet Japonic rocks out New Year's beginning at 9 p.m. Ages 21+ welcome; $10 cover.
Bistro Bella Vita - Get a four-course Chef's Tasting Menu, plus live music with Simien the Whale from 10 p.m. - 1 a.m., a champagne toast and party favors at Bistro Bella Vita's celebration. The cost is $50 (plus tax & gratuity) and seatings are available at 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Bloom - Restaurant Bloom will have a four-course meal with a beverage to toast on New Year's Eve. Cost is $55 per person (or $100/couple).
The B.O.B. - Partygoers have two options for The B.O.B. They can go for progressive dinners (reservations required) at The Monkey Bar, Bobarino's, Gilly's, Top of The B.O.B., and Crush. Cost is $42 and includes the cost of general admission. The J Bar will have a regular menu. General admission into The B.O.B. is $20 after 9 p.m. and does not include dinner. Progressive dinners can also be combined with Dr. Grins tickets for $61.
Centennial Country Club - The Masquerade Ball will have live music with the Lazy Blue Tunas, dancing and a full gourmet dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Reservations accepted.
Corez Wine Bar - Corez will feature two three-course dinner seatings to choose from: 6:30 p.m. paired with wine for $45, and 9 p.m. paired with wine and midnight champagne for $65.
Cygnus 27 - Cygnus 27 will host The Black, White and Red All Over Party atop the Amway Grand Hotel. Party on the 27th floor with global DJ music, live coverage of ball drops, fashions from Boutique Emmanuel, access to globally infused foods, valet parking and a champagne toast at midnight. $75 per person; ages 21+ welcome.
The DAAC - The Downtown Dirty Disco is a two-hour mix of classic disco, nu-disco, house, and electro that explores the roots of 70's disco. Spun by DJ Josh Boerman. The all ages party starts at 8 p.m. and has a $5 cover.
DeVos Performance Hall - The Grand Rapids Symphony leads special guest vocalists who will perform the best of Broadway, including musical selections from The Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, West Side Story and many more. At the 5:30 p.m. pre-concert reception, attendees can enjoy a dinner buffet with Symphony Conductor David Lockington. Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. performance are $18-$90; the buffet is $50 per person.
DeVos Place - Master of Ceremonies Jashod presents the MTV NYE party that will feature cast members Wes, Kelly Anne and Teck Money from MTV's The Real World. Live music performances by A.B.! & Coconut Brown and DJ Hypnotiq begin at 10 p.m. and the Amway Grand will provide 10 bars and the champagne toast at midnight. Ages 21+ welcome. Tickets prices are $22.50 in advance, $32.50 at the door.
Eastern Hall - Eastern Hall is throwing a Hollywood-themed bash that features music spun by DJ LA at 8 p.m., and then switch over to live music with Mr. Whooha at 9:30 p.m. Admission is $10.
Fenian's - Fenian's will have an Irish New Year's with 'Mighty' Holiday Music Session featuring some of the finest Irish musicians from around Michigan. No cover or reservations; food will be served. Ages 21+ welcome.
Flanagan's - Live music with The Sprague Brothers, food, drinks and champagne. $5 cover; starts at 9 p.m.
Founders Brewing - UV Hippo will bring its jam/funk grooves beginning at 9:30 p.m.
GP Sports - The sports bar inside the Amway Grand will have a dinner buffet from 7-9 p.m., a midnight champagne toast, a DJ from 9:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. and complimentary self-parking. $89 per couple.
Grand Rapids Art Museum - Family activities and programs ($5 for non-GRAM members) will be featured early at the GRAM. At midnight, watch the Ball Drop at Rosa Parks Circle. The Museum Café will have a special gourmet menu for the evening, along with party favors and a midnight champagne toast. Dinner packages are $49-$59 and seatings are scheduled for 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Grand Woods Lounge - Grand Woods will have its dinner package for four that includes four entrees, two appetizers, a bottle of champagne and four passes to the party for $59.95. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Slim Tim and the bar will close at 2:00 a.m. $10 cover after 9:30 p.m.
The Grille at Watermark - A multi-course dinner, party favors, champagne toast and live music with local band Bottoms Up is available for $44.50 per person.
Hopcat - HopCat will have a rockabilly New Year's with Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys. No cover charge and music begins around 10 p.m.
The Intersection - Party like it's 1989 with Mega '80s. Tickets are $25 and include hors d'oeuvres and champagne toast. Show starts at 9 p.m.; ages 21+ welcome.
J.W. Marriott - The Grand Ballroom inside the J.W. will be transformed and split into two parties. The Totally '80s party will be one, and the more intimate futuristic South Beach lounge will be another. Soundscape provided by DJ Shannon Williams and Mixology resident DJ Todd Ernst. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Jukes - Live music with Brother Bill, Rhythm Dogs and Dangerville with party favors at this no-cover party. $2 champagne at midnight and $2 PBR drafts.
Log Cabin - Live music with Hattrick and $7 pitchers. $10 cover per person or $17 per couple.
Louie's Bar & Rocket Lounge - DJ Jeff Leopard and The Vandrie host the New Year's Eve Party. Admission is $25 with door proceeds benefiting MENTOR1.
McFadden's - $25 pre-sale tickets for McFadden's Las Vegas-style party include complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a late night buffet and a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas. Tickets will be $40 at the door.
The Melting Pot - The fondue restaurant will have a special four course menu created exclusively for New Year's Eve. $50 per person; reservations required.
Mojo's - Ticket reservations include buffet dinner, cover charge, midnight champagne toast and dueling piano entertainment. Price is $45 for main floor dining and $30 per person along the bars and upstairs. $15 cover after 9 p.m. (doesn't include food).
Monte's - Monte's big city-style party will have drink specials until midnight, complimentary sushi and midnight champagne toast and dance music spun by DJ Dav & DJ Greg Knott. Advance tickets are $20.
New Year's Eve Club Hop 2.0 - The NYE event is back for a second year. A VIP party bus will stop by The B.O.B., Louie's Bar complex, SIXX, Tap House, 25 Kitchen + Bar, Peppino's and Monte's every 15 minutes and all patrons on the bus will have express VIP entry. Ticket cost is $50 in advance. Patrons can also separately purchase a special dinner pass for one of three venues: 25 Kitchen, Peppino's or The B.O.B.
Peppino's Downtown - The new downtown Peppino's will have music by Denny Middleton, a buffet with prime rib, shrimp and appetizers, party favors and a champagne toast. First seating is at 6 p.m. ($15 per person) and the second is at 8 p.m. ($30 per person).
Pietro's - 28th St - New Year's will have a Latin Flair at Pietro's Salsa Night. Guests can dance the Merengue, Bachata, Reaggueton beginning at 9 p.m. $25 ticket price includes champagne toast, endless food table until 12:30 a.m. prizes, giveaways and drink specials.
Polish Falcons - The no cover party features DJ Shane, cheap drinks, and attendees can bring a snack to pass.
Quinn & Tuites - Live Irish music with The Waxies and The Toss Pints.
Republic/Rockwell's - $25 per person includes reserved seating 11 p.m. - 2 a.m., exotic swag courtesy of lamb, French hors d'oeuvres and a midnight champagne toast. $10 for general admission. Dinner seatings begin at 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. No cover charged for dinner reservations.
Ritz Koney - The no cover party includes live music with Jason Eller starting at 9 p.m.
Rumors - The 'Get Infamous' party will have appetizers, champagne and dance music with DJ Monica Parker.
The Score - The no cover party will feature DJames playing a mix of dance, rock, hip hop, and Top 40. The Score will ring in 2010 with a "Mad Money" balloon drop at midnight. 16 TV screens around the bar will have live broadcasts of the Times Square and Rosa Parks Circle ball drops.
SIXX - DJs JDubb & MattB from Dirty North and DJ VANHEKKEN will spin starting at 9 p.m. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and only 100 minors will be admitted. Dress code enforced.
Tavern on the Square - The celebration kicks off with the NYE pre-party from 3-8 p.m. that will have $3 drafts, champagne, wells and house wines and five small plates to share for $33.95. At night, Tavern will have party favors, late night food, midnight champagne toast and music spun by DJ John Beltran. $10 cover after 9:30 p.m.
T.G.I. Fridays/50 Monroe - Watch the ball drop in comfort from the lobby of 50 Monroe at the 50 Monroe Rocks Party. Live entertainment, all-you-can-eat T.G.I. Fridays munchies and a champagne toast at midnight is featured. Tickets are $50 each.
T.G.I. Fridays - Escape the chill in the T.G.I. Fridays Rockin' NYE Tent that will be located at the corner of Monroe and Louis. Cover to the clear-sided, heated tent is $5. Ages 21+ only.
Victory Club - $50 per person includes dinner reservations, party favors, midnight toast, late night buffet and live entertainment with local band Classic Fix. Without dinner reservations, cover is $20.
Wenger's - Wenger's party starts at 11 p.m. and shoe rental and unlimited bowling is $5 (ages 21+) until 4 a.m. Drink specials include $3 u-call-its and $5 pitchers of Miller High Life. Admission is $12 for 18+.
Whiskey Lounge - $10 cover includes appetizers, complimentary champagne and access to the live band performance by Voodoo Theory and DJ music by Larry Maddox. Bottle service available. Ages 21+.

Boatwerks - The restaurant on Lake Macatawa opens at 3 p.m. with a full dinner and menu specials served from 4-10 p.m. Live music by Charley Horse provides the entertainment from 9:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. Reservations accepted.
CityFlats Hotel - Start off with dinner at the only rooftop restaurant in Holland, then come down to CitySen Lounge and enjoy live jazz music, midnight champagne taste and drink specials all night, including $3 drafts and $4 select martinis. No cover charge.
Hampton Inn - Overnight package includes party favors, family karaoke and midnight champagne toast. Pricing starts at $89.

Kalamazoo State Theatre - West Michigan band Greensky Bluegrass is back at the State Theatre to celebrate the New Year. New Year's Fest - Held at Bronson Park in downtown Kalamazoo, the annual family friendly event features 28 entertainers performing in nine buildings, plus fireworks at midnight. Begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission buttons (required): $5
