So you've decided to brave the crazy streets of West Michigan and celebrate like the Irish do for St. Patty's Day. We've got a list of all the hot spots and then some for you to check out while on your Irish adventure March 17. Whether you're looking for a parade. the bar scene, a concert or some good ole family fun, it's all here. Just read on below...

 

Parades

Fenian's 23rd Annual "Wearin' of the Green Parade" - On March 17th The Fenian's is virtually bursting at the seams with Irish music, dance, and of course their parade. "The Wearin of the Green" parade features The Grand Rapids Catholic Central HS Marching Band, floats, bikes, horseback riders and more. Line up out front of Fenian's promptly at 10:55 a.m. in downtown Conklin. Everyone is encouraged to join in, and show why they are proud to be Irish.


Bars, Nightlife, Parties & Concerts

25 Kitchen + Bar - serving up a delicious Irish-influenced $7 breakfast, all day drink specials including $2 and $3 green beers and $3 Guinness. Doors open at 7 a.m.

Aquinas College - on March 20 guest are welcomes to attend the annual AQ Ireland Alumni Reunion at The Donnelly Center.$15 per person includes buffet dinner and two drink tickets. After 2 and its up to you! After the reunion the annual AQ St. Patrick's Day Party will begin. Featuring live music from The Waxies along with a cash bar.

Bar Louie - is bringing out the specials for their St.Patty's day celebrations.. From Mar. 12-17 enjoy $4 Jameson Shots, $5 Irish Car Bombs, $4 Guinness Pints and more.

Billy's - Live music with Trent Wagler & The Steel Wheels kicks off at 9 p.m. $5 cover; 21+ welcome.

The B.O.B. - Featuring food and drink specials like Guinness Corned Beef Brisket $10.95, Guinness pints $5.00, and Kilians draft $3.50. Also live music with the Conklin Celli Irish Folk Band, the Grand Rapids Bagpipes and U2 Tribute Band 'Zooropa'.

The Curragh - Live music kicks off at 3 p.m. with Fonn Mohr, Kennedy's Kitchen and Inner Distance.

Dugan's Pub & Grille - A menu consisting traditional Irish foods and of course traditional Irish beverages will be available from 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Oh and did I forget to mention 99 cent green beer!

Fenian's - Fenian's 4th annual St. Patty's Day Block Party. Featuring two days of indoor and outdoor live music, Irish songs, authentic food and tasty beverages. Mar. 20 &21, free for everyone, but 21+ after 6 p.m.

Flanagan's - Stop by Flanagan's Mar. 17 for a day of events filled with Irish pride and joy. Kick off the day with corned beef & hash for breakfast, or enjoy beer and liquor promotions throughout the day. Let's not forget bag pipers, and all the green beer you could desire. Put on your green and head over to Flanagan's, doors open at 7 a.m.

Founders - A St.Patty's Day party featuring live music with Rootstand. Show starts at 9:30 p.m., $5 cover, free for mug club members.

Grand Woods Lounge - The Woods opens at 10 a.m. with specials like $2 breakfast wraps and corned beef sliders, $3 green beer and $5 Guinness plus live entertainment.

Hopcat - Hopcat is all ready prepared for St.Patty's day, they will have their beer chilled, their beef corned and their luck...lucked? Hop on down to the Hopcat Mar 17, for green beer, live music and plenty of specials.

Joe V's - Beginning at 9 p.m. Joe V's will feature live music, Jameson shots, green beer, and corned beef. No cover must be 21+.

Jukes - Mar. 17 St.Patty's show featuring live music with The Waxies, The Real Bitters and Ten Second March. Show starts at 6 p.m., no cover charge.

Louie's Bar & Rocket Lounge - Irish drink specials will be on the menu while DJ Jenny D and Shannon Williams will be spinning.

McFadden's - has been counting down the days since the beginning of March, with Guinness Toasts every night at midnight. On the special day the party kicks off early at 7 a.m. for kegs and eggs. Enjoy specials like $2 green beers, $3 Jameson, $4 Irish car bombs and Irish food specials all day.

Monte's - Opening at 4 p.m., featuring drink specials like $3 green beers, $4 Jameson & $5 Irish Car Bombs. DJ Greg Knott and Todd Ohme will be providing the beats.

Mulligan's - free show featuring local bands Chip Fundy and Draggin Anchors. Beginning at 10 p.m., must be 21+.

New Holland Brewing- performing traditional Irish music Whiskey Before Breakfast will be at New Holland Brewing on Mar. 17.

One Trick Pony - Live music with The Willeys begins at 6 p.m. No reservations for this show.

The Orbit Room - The Shamrock & Shenanigan's Ball March 12 will have live performances by Night of 1000 Knives, Pass of Aggression, Release the Crimson, Page 66 and more, plus an appearance by the Devil Dolls. Tickets: $8 in advance, $12 at the door. Ages 18+ welcome.

O'Toole's - Guinness stew, green beer, green beer, and more green beer. Kick off the day with breakfast, beginning at 7 a.m.

Quinn & Tuite's - Celebrate Irish pride with live music all day!

Reds on the River - The fancy side of Ireland, with Dublin's best O'Hara's Irish Red on tap, reuden sliders, lamb stew, and delicious fish and chips.

River City Saloon - chug down the green stuff while watching live music from Great American Taxi.

Rockwell's & Republic - St.Patty's Day "heated" Deck Party featuring $3 Jameson, Green Beer, and Guinness. Also half off all cocktails and shots from 9 p.m. -midnight. Join in the fun, starting at 3 p.m.

S Nightclub/Sol Lounge - featuring special DJ's and green beer all night. The lounge in Holland opens at 4 p.m. and the club at 9 p.m.

Sazerac Lounge - Sazerac has the cure for your Irish Flu this year. Featuring a special St. Patty's day menu, and drink specials like $2.50 Jameson shots and $4 O'Hara's Irish Stout, available Mar 17- 19.

Tavern on the Square - Kicking off at 7 a.m., Tavern on the Square will host the first annual Black Rose St.Patty's Day Party. The festivities include breakfast, drink specials and Beer Pong!

Family Events

Bounce Party - A family-friendly St. Patrick's Day party like no other. The Bounce Party is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with refreshments, crafts, and a chance to meet the Leprechaun on Mar 17 from 6-8 p.m. $8 per child includes one hour of bouncing, the craft and cookies. Admission for parents is free. Remember, Bouncing is for everyone!

Spectrum Health Irish Jig - celebrating its 27th year, the Irish Jig at Reeds Lake has become one of Michigan's top 5K races and is a great way to start off your running season. Registration is $17-$22 per person and the races begin at 9 a.m. March 20. The race provides long-sleeved shirts and commemorative pint glasses to the first 3,000 participants who pick them up, awards to age group winners and more than $3,500 in prize money to top finishers.
