Panic at the Disco will visit the Intersection this fall, bringing its constantly evolving pop-rock-punk sound to the Grand Rapids music venue on Nov. 5 in an all ages show.
Best known for its single "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" from its 2006 debut album, the Las Vegas band captured mainstream success on the strength of its video for the song, which won an MTV Video of the Year award, and a headlining tour. The record, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, sold more than 2.2 million copies worldwide and garnered some critical mentions for its mix of baroque pop, punk pop and emo.
Over the past few years, the band has made several lineup changes, but stil includes original members Brendon Urie (lead vocals, guitars, piano) and Spencer Smith (drums). Likewise, the band's sound has evolved into more of a pop-oriented rock band, drawing from influences like the Beatles, Kinks and Beach Boys.
The show will also feature opening group Foxy Shazam. Tickets are $25 at the Intersection box office or online.
