| Yamaha Artist Rex Richardson has become one of the busiest crossover trumpet artists in the world. Since 1995, he has recorded and toured around the globe with the critically acclaimed Rhythm & Brass. He has also toured North America and Japan as a member of the late jazz legend Joe Henderson's Quintet and Sextet, and Europe with William Russo's Chicago Jazz Ensemble. Richardson has worked with such artists as Benny Carter, Ray Charles, Kurt Elling, Carl Fontana, Nnenna Freelon, Aretha Franklin, Wycliffe Gordon, Stefon Harris, Dave Holland, Keith Lockart, Christian McBride, Jimmy Owens, Bobby Shew, Al vizzutti, Bill Watrous, Gerald Wilson, Boston Brass, Millennium Brass, and countless others.
Drummer Tim Froncek directs the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra. Froncek is one of today's busiest and most respected performers. Voted 2004's "Jazz Musician of the Year" by the West Michigan Jazz Society, he can be seen performing on drumset, directing big bands, giving clinics and lectures on jazz, and judging the many jazz festivals in the mid-west. Froncek has performed with such greats as Woody Herman and the Thundering Herd, Bobby Shew, Randy Brecker, Bill Watrous, Rufus Reid, Jon Faddis, Hal Galper, Clark Terry, Pearl Bailey, and Joe Williams, to name a few. |
