"Squeezebox sounds, straight outta Oshkosh!" There's a thread connecting the gutsy party polkas of the upper Midwest, the music of Esteban Jordan (the Jimi Hendrix of the tejano accordion) and Doug Sahm, the classic roots rock of Creedence Clearwater Revival, the new Latin wave of Los Lobos, and the zydeco power of Clifton Chenier. Copper Box, from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, finds that thread and puts it together in a genre-bending celebration that channels the rowdy communal feel of a small-town party. Accordionist/vocalist Danny Jerabek and saxophonist/guitarist Michelle Jerabek both grew up in polka-playing families, but after their marriage in 1997 they began experimenting with other genres. The result is a stage show that's a barrel of fun and is pulling in fans who follow the band from town to town! Join us for the local premiere show by a Midwest music phenomenon.
